Annual Meeting of the China Foundry Association 2023
2023-05-17 11:38On May 10, 2023, the 19th Annual Meeting of the China Foundry Association took place in Tianjin. During the event, Zhang Libo, Vice President of the China Machinery Industry Federation and President of the China Foundry Association, addressed the audience in his welcome speech. He highlighted that 2023 brings forth elevated requirements and new tasks for the development of the foundry industry. While acknowledging the achievements of 2022, Zhang emphasized the importance of recognizing the existing shortcomings within the industry.
Guided by the "Guiding Opinions on Promoting High-Quality Development of the Casting and Forging Industry," the casting industry will embark on a profound development path in the future. This entails further improving industry concentration and optimizing the industrial layout, gradually enhancing the level of advanced casting technology and equipment, pursuing a direction of green, low-carbon, specialized, and refined development, and facing the intense international competition in the high-end market. These efforts aim to shape a new industrial landscape. Concluding his speech, Zhang Libo called for collective efforts to overcome challenges and forge ahead, in order to establish a strong country in the face of new circumstances and norms.
Furthermore, Wang Dongsheng, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of the China Foundry Association, presented a report titled "Data Release of China Foundry Industry and Interpretation of the Latest Industrial Policies." The report unveiled the output data of the China Foundry industry and import-export statistics from customs for the year 2022. It also provided an overview of the import-export situation for the China Foundry industry during January-March 2023, along with an interpretation of the latest relevant industrial policies. This report not only shared important data but also offered guidance for future enterprise development within the industry.
