What is the invesment casting
Investment casting, also known as lost wax casting or precision casting, is a manufacturing process that involves the formation of ceramic molds around wax patterns to create molds capable of receiving molten metal. This process utilizes an intricate technique to achieve complex shapes with exceptional surface quality. To create the mold, a wax pattern or a cluster of patterns is repeatedly dipped into ceramic material to build a thick shell. The subsequent de-waxing process is then followed the shell drying process. This results in the production of a wax-less ceramic shell.
